Bulgaria Economy Minister Predicts 6,5% Economic Growth in 2008

Bulgaria's Minister of Energy and Economy Petar Dimitrov predicted Friday the country's economic growth in 2008 would be 6,2-6,5%.
Dimitrov also said the prices of electricity, gasoline, and diesel in Bulgaria were the lowest in all of the EU.
According to the Minister, Bulgaria's inflation in July 2008 would be 1% because of the rising energy prices. The real increase of salaries in Bulgaria in 2007 was by 10,4%.
Dimitrov confirmed the foreign direct investments in the first half of 2008 were EUR 500 M fewer than in the first half in 2007.
